About

Fabian Fabro is an American-Filipino composer who experiments with unconventional and mixed ensembles, combining traditional world music with contemporary music. Learning more of his Filipino traditional heritage, he pushes to bring Filipino Rondalla and Kulintang to new compositions as well.

He graduated from University of Hawai'i at Manoa with a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Anthropology. He has gotten accepted to Flatiron School in Seattle, WA to study Software Engineering to expand his skill set.

Video game music has always been a part of Fabian's life from his childhood days, as he first took piano lessons wanting to learn his favorite game music on the keys. Bass guitar was another instrument he picked up because he struggled reading the bass line when he played piano, which bass helped drastically for that. It was not until middle school he started messing around with notation software, ended up composing his own works for fun.

Besides composing, Fabian works on his Youtube Channel where he arranges video game music into the traditional Rondalla style. He also enjoys learning new skills, currently computer programming.
